2nd Eden 2009 Fastest in the Federation this week was Frank Raschilla from Towradgi, clocking a young boy. Second position was taken by Dom Monteleone also from Towradgi club, with a two year old hen. Third place went to June & Graham Davison of Towradgi, also with a two year old hen.

The Junior National was won by J Szalai of Berkeley Sports Invitational. Second place went to Luke Lamers from Towradgi. Third place was taken by C Berghuis of the Gwynneville club.

The Junior National was the final race in the regular junior season. Finishing on top of the pointscore was Luke Lamers. In second position was Brycen Franke also of Towradgi. Fabian Monteleone from Ocean Beach club came third in the pointscore.

2nd Lakes Entrance 09 There was no race Saturday due to combination of rain along home route & strong head winds. Birds released at 8:00am, moderate to strong WSW winds.

Fastest in the Federation this week was of the Towradgi club, clocking a young boy. In second position was June & Graeme Davison from Towradgi also with a young boy. Third place went to Steve Saywell from Woonona-Bulli clocking a young hen.

2nd Long Reef 2nd Long Reef reschedules race - Monday 14th June 2010

The additional race added to the programme to make-up for the rained out 2nd Long Reef held in sunny skies with a 15 km WNW.

Fastest in the Fed was Richard & Heather Whitehead from Towradgi club & they clocked a three year old boy. Second place went to June & Graeme Davison clocking a young boy. Third in the Fed was also from Towradgi, with Jeff Sheppard timing a young boy.

2nd Mallacoota Results Birds released at 9:30am, light to moderate W winds varying to SW.

The birds arrived in an unexpectantly quick time, with the leading birds doing over a 100 km/h.

Fastest in the Federation this week was Terry & Jane Cooper of the Towradgi club, clocking a young hen. Second position went to Steve Saywell of the Woonona-Bulli RSL club, with a two year old hen. Third place went to June & Graeme Davison of Towradgi clocking a young hen.

2nd Milton 2009 This week we were somewhat fortunate to get a liberation with showers along the Illawarra breaking up only in the afternoon. The birds went up as programmed at 1:00pm in 20-25 km SSW winds. A small batch of birds managed to make the most of the conditions and arrived some 9 minutes ahead of the rest of the field. This was a pretty unusual occurrence from such a short race. Returns were very good despite the less than ideal weather.


Fastest in the Fed went to Dave Miller of Towradgi clocking a young boy. Second position was taken by “new’” Fed president John Koster with a two year old hen. Richard & Heather Whitehead took third place & a clean sweep for Towradgi clocking a two year old hen also.

2nd Moruya 09 Light North wind & overcast with birds liberated 11:30. Birds encountered heavy showers between Kiama & Nowra.

Fastest in the Federation again went to Jane & Andrew Carrington of Towradgi club clocking a young hen. Congratulations are in order for Jane & Andrew in making it a rare 3 consecutive fastest in the Feds. Second place was won by Jeff Sheppard of Towradgi with a young boy. Bill & Dell Lamers also of Towradgi were third in the Fed with a young hen.

2nd Old Bar Overall Results Overcast conditions when birds went up at 9:00am. 10-20 km West wind, tending to the South & increasing during the morning.

Fastest in the Fed this was John Koster from the Towradgi club clocking a young boy. Second place was taken out by Bill & Dell Lamers, also from Towradgi clocking a young hen. Third in the fastest in the Fed was Richard & Heather Whitehead, again from Towradgi club. They clocked a two year old hen.

2nd Red Head Club Results

Shoalhaven results based on direct survey.

2nd Red Head Overall Fine & Sunny when birds went up at 11:30am. 20-30 km WNW winds which were strong & gusty at times, becoming WSW later in the day.

Fastest in the Fed for the second consecutive race was Richard & Heather Whitehead from Towradgi club & they clocked a two year old boy. Second place was taken out by Graham & Dean Kerr of Woonona-Bulli RSL club with a young hen. June & Graeme Davison from Towradgi were third in the Fed clocking a young hen.

2nd Seaspray results 09 Fastest in the Fed this week was Wayne Loader from Lake Illawarra clocking a young hen. Second place was taken out by Peter Clarke from Albion Park Oak Flats club with a young hen. Third place went to the Cavill Bros from Dapto also clocking a young hen.

The fastest three birds in the Fed also took the placings in the John Graham Young Bird Derby.

2nd Tea Gardens overall results Fine & Sunny when birds went up at 10:30am. 10-15 km NW winds.

This week's race was a real contrast to last week, with the leading birds velocity in excess of 1500 m/m.

Fastest in the Fed was Chris Bell from Albion Park-Oak Flats club clocking a young boy. In second place was Geoff Chinnock from Dapto club. He clocked a three year old hen.

Third fastest in the Fed went to Richard & Heather Whitehead of Towradgi, clocking a two year old hen.

3rd Lakes Entrance results 09 Birds were liberated 8am on a perfect spring day. Winds were light & variable from the west with a ENE breeze in the afternoon. A couple of birds managed to find some assistance to be nearly 20 minutes in front of the rest. One bird went to Joe & Andrew Szalai & 2 birds arrived at Alexander "Bonny" McGregor's.
Fastest in the Fed this week was Joe & Andrew Szalai from Berkeley club. Second in the Fed was Bonny McGregor from Woonona-Bulli. Third in the Fed was Trevor Gasseling of the Dapto club. All three birds were young hens.

3rd Long Reef Results After a week of showers & rain, Saturday proved better than forecast with a sunny day & a 15-20 km/hr South wind. Some showers came up the coast later in the day but this was an hour after the birds arrival.

Fastest in the Fed for the second consecutive week went June & Graeme Davison from Towradgi club, clocking a young boy. Second place, same as last week, went to Richard & Heather Whitehead also of Towradgi & they clocked a two year old hen. In third place was John Koster with a two year old hen.

Fastest in the Federation this week was Brian Rea from Lake Illawarra, clocking a young hen. Second position went to June & Graham Davison of Towradgi clocking a young boy. Third place this week was Ron & Bill Bird of the Lake Illawarra club clocking a two year old hen.

3rd Old Bar Fed Results Birds held over due to rain at race point. Sunny Sunday, with birds released 7:30 am with 15-25 km NW winds.

Fastest in the Fed went to Ron & Bill Bird from Lake Illawarra clocking a young boy. Derek Louth from Albion Park-Oak Flats was second, clocking a young hen. Third in the Fed went to the Lane Family also of Albion Park-Oak Flats club. They clocked a young boy.

The Junior National was won by C & J Knightely from Gwyneville club, with Joey Mamo Jnr second & Luke Lamers in third place.

Fastest in the Fed for the fourth time this year was June & Graeme Davison from Towradgi with a young hen. In second position was Bonnie McGregor from Woonona-Bulli RSL club clocking a young hen. Third in the Fed was Dom Monteleone from Towradgi, also clocking a young hen.
